·    Policy development

   o    To formulate directions, plans and strategies to achieve the objectives of the Sports Development Act 1997

   o    To review and update the Sports Development Act 1997

   o    To develop guidelines, circulars and rules and regulations pertaining to the implementation of the Act 

·    Licensing

   o    To evaluate and approve applications for the organization of sports events

   o    To evaluate and recommend  applications to become a host for international sports events 

   o    To regulate licensing rules and regulations 

·    Complaints and Issues

   o    To formulate the procedures for investigation and inquiry

   o    To review complaints, evaluate and conduct investigations or inquiries

   o    To prepare investigative reports and propose solutions, and where necessary, to the Minister for his decision.
